Setting correct VAT rates (taxes) for services allows you to enjoy accurate statistics and reports, and streamlines remuneration.


You can use one of the default rates or enter custom rates, depending on your needs. Versum allows you to change the rate while adding or editing a service.

You can also assign a VAT rate for a service category, which will set that rate for all services already included in that category. It will also set the rate as default for all services subsequently added to that category.

In order to set a VAT rate while adding a new service:


  1. Click services in the left sidebar
  2. Click add service in the right upper corner
  3. Fill in fields 1-4 More on adding services >
  4. In point 5. VAT, select the appropriate rate
  5. Fill in the remaining fields if required and click save service.


In order to set a VAT rate for an existing service:


  1. Click services in the left sidebar
  2. Click the name of the service (you can use the find services searchbox)
  3. Click edit in the right upper corner
  4. In point 5. VAT, select the required VAT rate
  5. Click the save service button.


In order to set a VAT rate for a service category:


  1. Click services in the left sidebar
  2. Click add/edit/delete below the category list on the left:


  3. Hover the mouse cursor over the name of the category you would like to set the VAT rate for and click the drop-down menu that will appear, then select edit:

  4. In point 3. VAT, select the appropriate VAT rate
  5. Select the option Update the VAT rate for all services in the category:

  6. Click save. The new VAT rate will be set to all services in the category. The rate will also be the default rate for all services added subsequently to the category.
