The five available resource priority levels determine the order in which several alternative resources will be booked if they have been grouped using the or operator (>More on resource relationship types). Resource priorities work both for appointments added directly in the Versum appointment book and those scheduled via the online booking panel. If multiple resources have the same priority, the order of booking will be random. By default, each resource has a normal priority.
Assigning resource priority is optional, but may be helpful if you have multiple resources which can be utilised to provide a given service, but for any reason you'd like one or more to be used more often than others.
You can set resource priorities while:
- assigning resources to an existing service through the service record
- assigning resources to an existing service through the resource record
- assigning multiple services to a resource
- adding a new service
