If both the sender address (which you can specify while sending a bulk message) and the recipient address from the test group have their email addresses in the same domain (e.g. @salonname.com), such a message may be classified as email spoofing and blocked by the recipient's email provider. It happens because some email domains utilise Sender Policy Framework (SPF) email validation. Such behaviour is not dependent on Versum, but rather on anti-spam technology used by the recipient's email provider.

How to solve the issue

There are two solutions to this issue:

  1. While sending a bulk message, use a sender's email address from a different domain than the salon domain
  2. Add an email address to the test group with an email domain different than the salon domain. > Learn how to add contacts to the test group
