Versum inventory allows you to categorize each product by type, depending on how a given product is used. Versum distinguishes two types of products:
- Retail products - these are products intended for sale. They should have the selling price defined. All products intended for retail sale should be marked as retail products
- Backbar products - these are products intended for use at your salon. Backbar products can have the usage unit defined, e.g. grams or millilitres, which allows to record product consumption accurately.
A product can be both retail and backbar at the same time. In such a case, when adding a new product, tick both checkboxes in point 2. product type.
